JON GRACEY
Until recently, Jon was a writer/performer with veteran sketch troupe The Beta Males, before flouncing off to travel the world. An MA in film and television writing, his hard-ons include video games, crying in emotional movies, hamburgers, comics, letter-writing and his co-author in this book. His first Edinburgh Fringe was in 2008 with the terrible Sketchy Beast (C Venues). After that, fortunes improved with free show The Beta Males' Picnic (Laughing Horse, 2009), cult hit The Bunker (Underbelly, 2010), Top 10 Amused Moose/2Entertain Laughter Awards The Train Job (Pleasance, 2011), Time Out recommended The Space Race (Pleasance, 2012) and sell-out smash Superopolis (Pleasance, 2013). He was on the radio in the UK which was (and still is) a massive deal (for him.) He plays guitar and has an exceptionally pleasant singing voice.
VIV EGAN
Viv has been to Edinburgh as a performer (Princess Cabaret - Gilded Balloon 2010), a reviewer (FringeReview 2011) and a punter (one sleepless weekend in 2012, and one sleepless month in 2013). A freelance writer and wannabe entrepreneur, she dabbles as an arts journalist, script editor, costume designer, performer, producer, arts marketing consultant and thrift blogger. She once gave The Beta Males a 3* review, a faux pas Jon has not let her forget. Nevertheless, she made the shortlist for the Allen Wright Award for Young Journalists (Reviews Section) that year, so she must have been doing something right.
