Creatives are always in the market for a little extra cash (in our experience anyway. If you're a creative who's rolling in it, please let us know how you achieved financial freedom).
Edinburgh is famed for sucking all your money, and people are often scrabbling to get some extra cash in between rehearsing and previewing, so we've thought up some ways that you can get a little extra cash in the lead-up to what could easily be one of the most expensive months of your life.

Qmee
Qmee is a Chrome extension (and if you're using anything other than Chrome for your browsing, stop and switch to Chrome cos it's better anyway), which means you install it for free on your browser and it basically works by netting you a few pence when you click on certain search results. You might only make a pound or two a week, but it's better than a kick in the face!

Fiverr
While we haven't used this ourselves, Fiverr could be a fun way to get some extra coin (and we do have friends who've made good money from it). If you have a silly skill like an impersonation, make a good video and people might pay you $5 to deliver your service - ideally something you can do very quickly.

italki
Again, we haven't tried this (yet!) but we've heard about italki, a network that connects language learners to language speakers. You don't need any formal qualifications to be a 'Community Tutor', and you can set your own price and working hours to simply chat in your native tongue to someone who's learning it. If you want an in-depth review, this is how we heard about the service.

Invigilating
If you have a friend who teaches at a secondary school, ask them if they need any exam invigilators. It's seasonal work with weird hours so it's only useful if you have a flexible, freelance-y kind of lifestyle. Like a comedian. Or an actor. Plus, the end of the academic year is primetime for exams.

Airbnb
If you're touring in the run-up to the Fringe, put your room on Airbnb while you're away, even for a weekend. This of course depends on your home situation, but this is a great way to save a little on rent. If you haven't already signed up to Airbnb we'd love you if you would sign up using this link - we get a little discount for the referral :)

Ghostbloggers
If you have any kind of writing skills, Ghostbloggers is an easy way to get paid for freelance writing. Its only downfall is that you have no guarantee of when or if your article will get sold (though you can do some research on what topics are being requested), but Viv has used this site and sold 4 of 5 articles for a decent price so far, and the interface doesn't take long to get your head around.

Save!
As Benjamin Franklin once said, 'a penny saved is a penny earned'. So, if you can do any of the above, do the maths and find a few luxuries to cancel while you prepare for Edinburgh - whether it's forgoing coffee at Starbucks, not drinking alcohol, perhaps cutting down on meat, not buying that magazine or avoiding eating out, you'll suddenly find you've got more cash to go round.
How are you earning or saving money before heading to Edinburgh? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
